Save a Tree: One Document at a Time

A.R.M.S.’ new program shows companies how they’re making a “green” difference

(Green Bay, WI) – As businesses today strive to be eco-friendly, A.R.M.S. (Automated Records Management Systems, Inc.) has developed a new program to help companies show how they are contributing to a “greener” tomorrow.  As part of its “Save a Tree: One Document at a Time” program, businesses that utilize A.R.M.S.’ document destruction services will be provided an annual volume summary showing how many trees have been saved because their waste was shredded and recycled.

“We’ve always provided our clients with a certificate of confidential destruction showing how many pounds of paper waste was recycled, but we wanted to take our program one step further,” said Eric Haas, president of A.R.M.S, a full-service information management and protection firm serving clients throughout Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.  “Our clients can now display their certificates proving that by choosing to shred their office waste and confidential paper, they are in fact reducing their carbon footprint.”

A.R.M.S. document destruction program has been certified by the National Association of Information Destruction (NAID) and is AAA approved which signifies the highest level of excellence of information destruction.  Their services feature a fleet of state-of-the-art trucks that can shred thousands of pounds of paper per hour either on-site or off-site at their records management center.  Paper material is collected in secure collection receptacles which are then lifted and tipped into A.R.M.S.’ mobile shredding trucks.  Once the paper is shredded, the waste is recycled at local recycling facilities.

“All of us at A.R.M.S. are excited and proud about our new program,” said Haas.  “We can’t wait to see how many trees are saved through our shredding services.”
