DataSafe is also an original member of the National Records Centers. “The opportunity to serve on the board would allow me to give something back to an organization that helped develop our company. I knew nothing about the industry 5 years ago and I cannot overstate how important PRISM and its members were to helping us learn, expand, and prosper.” In “past lives,” Rehmus received his BA from Cornell and his MBA from Stanford. Trained as an investment banker, he worked in finance for the 2nd-wealthiest family in the United States and then the Walt Disney Company before jettisoning those more-promising careers for the vagaries of entrepreneurship. First he joined a venture-backed entertainment startup in Los Angeles. Ultimately he was head of Asian sales for the company and lived in Tokyo and Hong Kong. Leveraging his extensive entertainment experience, he moved on to a sports/swimming products firm where he was an investor and CFO. Rehmus and his wife Suzy co-own DataSafe and they have a thirteen-year-old son. (DataSafe, LLC was sold to Iron Mountain in 2011)
